POM (polyformaldehyde) thermoplastic crystalline polymer. Known as "super steel" or "Saigang", also known as polyoxymethylene. The acronym is POM. The polymer obtained by polymerization of formaldehyde is usually of low degree of polymerization and easy to be thermally depolymerized.
